The Hope Forward Program specializes in connecting youth to resources, whether through or own or other partner organizations.
Fostering Successful Careers: a workforce development program for transitioning and former foster youth ages 17-25. We’ve partnered with Foster Care Independent Living Agencies, local colleges and certification programs, employers and financial advisors to provide one-on-one career coaching, leadership development, certification training and internship/apprenticeship/employment opportunities to youth transitioning from the foster care system.
Emergency and transitional housing: assists in locating emergency and transitional housing for homeless or unstably housed former foster youth.
Emergency financial assistance: helps identify potential emergency financial assistance within the community and through wraparound agency providers for former foster youth in need.
Connections to personal and professional networks: assists young adults to create positive community and individual support systems with the end result of reaching personal goals.
Education connections: Helps youth navigate resources for completion of educational goals or starting new ones, such as GED exam preparation enrollment and testing; Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); and qualifying for the Maryland Tuition Waiver for Foster Care Recipients.
